Gold Medals
I sprinted to the start line. I hopped up onto the diving board and jumped. Kicking, darting, swimming. I scanned side to side, I could see my opponents racing as fast as possible. I kicked harder than ever. I got in front. I was coming first. As I got closer to the end of the race I could see the finish line, then I took one last breath and swam my heart out. I over lapped three players and finished the race. “Gold for New Zealand” the judge yelled. The applause was so loud. And it was all for me!
