Emily L - 100WC - Week 1/T3

Lost

The leaves crackle, my fists stiffen as I snaillike, trembling through the woods. I dodge around the trees without making a sound. I hear a noise jarring through the air. What is it? I think to myself. Suddenly I hear a soft tap, of something approaching. The sound gets louder and louder, I try to race out of the woods but find myself still here, like there was nothing going on and I was just on stroll, in the woods, with a monster thing hunting me. Do these woods ever end. I sweat. I blubber. I Wish, I never came.

My Secret Garden
I step out onto the leaves after my dangerous journey through mountains and deserts just to get to my special place, my Secret Garden. I run through the leaves, dash behind trees and just as I am starting to feel safe, I hear a rustling as if someone is following me. I turn but see nothing. I keep on running, I hear it again. My heart races then I hear my name being called from a distance away. I am scared but I can’t let the enemy know. Then from behind a tree someone or something emerges. I see... Mum?

Maddy - 100 WC - Week 1/T3

Mysterious Shadow
As I walk deeper and deeper into the mysterious dark woods, not even a breath of wind around me, I start to hear my heart jumping up and down out of my chest. The creepy dark shadow gets closer and closer to me. I say I’m never coming back to this place again I scream for help as something grasps hold of me, I wonder am I going to be stuck here forever? As I get dragged along the hard dirt floor of the forest I see dozens  and millions of beautiful fireflies twinkling in the deep dark night sky.

Charlottes 100 word challenge

Looks can be deceiving….

I pick myself up off the ground. A shrill, piercing noise pokes and teases my hearing.
A strange, glowing light floats past. It glows like the moon’s light on a peaceful night. I notice another dash past. I reach out my hand. It feels like a twisted up snake. It still hurts from when I threw a punch at Alex. I try to catch a glowing light but my hand is grasping itself. The light pinches me as my finger sinks into the glowing demon. I see marks on my leg and discover that someone or something dragged me here.

Catherine's 100 Word Challenge Week 2

Prompt:

Scream, Fight, Pray...

I open my eyes with a struggle while the wind tangles my wild, auburn hair.
Autumn leaves flurry around the trees surrounding them like a fence holding them in until they wither. I tread lightly without making a single sound. Fear fills me like a glass of crystal clear water.

The moon glows above me with a hypnotising light.
I blink away forcing myself to walk again, but instead I run like I can’t be controlled. Leaves suffocate me leaving the trees bare and alone. Gasping in desperation I struggle to breathe.
I scream.
I fight.
I pray.
I collapse.

Scarlett's 100 Word Challenge - Week 2

The Night Run

Fireflies circle around me. I stopped. I noticed that I was standing deep in the woods. I knew that I did the wrong thing by running away from home. I felt an enormous rush of fear climb up my spine I didn’t know what to do! A gust of wind swirled in the air. Then loneliness joined my fear. I was now lost!

Fireflies brushed past my neck like my cat's tail circling me before I go to bed. I now wondered if I should run back! But it was too late to go back. Where will I go next?

Yasmin's 100 word challenge

Good vs Evil
Throughout the day the forest is filled with wonder. Fairies glow as they fly around this magical place. The sound of joy overtakes the trees as they blow in the gentle wind. But as night approaches the wolves begin to howl, and the glowing lights also known as fairies disappear. When I visited this forest, I knew that I had to go in broad daylight or I would be caught by the night. Jack, my horse, and I all rode together and we arrived just on time. I wouldn't call the forest evil but I wouldn't call it good either.

~Maggie- 100wc- Week 2

The Forest

The darkness was reaching over the sky, a hand reaching out, fingers creeping over to shut the world in a cage of darkness.

I get lost in the forest when a gust of wind sweeps a pile of leaves up into the air. The leaves are a vibrant yellow that seem to glow in the crisp, dark air. The leaves twirl around me like magical fairies, floating up higher and higher. Then I suddenly hear a crack. I spin to see an old woman staring at me. Her face is wrinkly and there are dark purple droops under her eyes.

Kate's 100WC Week 2

Prompt:

The Car Crash

My dad, driving down a spiraling road. It’s raining heavily, the road is wet and dangerous. I am tired. Suddenly a loud bang comes from behind the car, it hauls me from my dozing. The right back wheel has been punctured. The car swerves, I am viciously smacked into the side of the car like an old toy being tossed aside. We whirl into the thick, dry grass beside us. I see black. Ringing, ringing.

I awake, soft grass beneath me, a fresh, green blanket. I open my eyes, gold, everywhere. I’m in a forest. How did I get here?

Phoebe's 100 Word Challenge - Week 2

One Thousand Fireflies
I gaze at the tiny, bright lights that are swarming around me, lighting up the forest like blazing orange flames. “Fireflies”, I breathe, talking to no one in particular.  Suddenly I snap my hands shut , capturing a firefly to bring back to my tent which will be my home for the next three days. My feet crunch noisily on the pine floor, as I make my way back to the campsite. I search thoroughly through a crate of cans and jars, attempting to find something suitable. “Finally!” I exclaim, gently placing my firefly inside of the glass jar.

Hermione's 100 WC Week 2

Prompt:

20 Million Years Ago
I sink into the depths of my time invention. Spinning, spinning… thump, onto the crystallised glass. I was speechless, my invention worked. I was in Pangaea. Yellow leaves cascaded down like glitter. Trees stretched up to the heavens. Sounds hung in the air with the mist of magic.

Just as I started to wonder what else roamed the earth 20 million years ago, I hear a lethal roar. Realisation crashed down upon me. All I think is: RUN! So I run. Huge feet slink out of the shadows. I had forgotten, as well as magic there was even more danger.

Chloe's 100 Word Challenge - Week 2

Prompt:

The smooth pearl slips from between my fingertips. It swiftly moves through the darkness. I keep track of where it is by the vivid light that reflects off it. I slowly follow it, watch it swirling around. I chase it into the nearby woods. Quick, delicate footsteps carry me further away from home. The wind begins to die. The frosted white marble sluggishly falls to the ground. I kneel down slowly to pick it up. I stand back up then notice orange, glowing lights. The lights dance around the air, they sprinkle the night sky, they take my breath away.
