Poetry By Lucy

Poetry
1.
I see the dolphins swimming by,
I smell the bait as my brother cuts it,
I hear the sea crashing against the rocks,
I feel the happiness run through me,
I taste the salty sea as I dive into the water,
I think life couldn’t be any better.

2.
Dolphins swimming by,
Bait as my brother cuts it,
Sea crashing against the rocks,
Happiness running through me,
Salty sea flows through my mouth as I dive into the water,
Life couldn’t be any better.

3.
Dolphins swimming
Bait my brother cuts,
Sea crashing against rocks,
Happiness within me,
Sea flowing through my mouth,
Life couldn’t be better.

Sophie T 100WC Week 25

I heard a voice calling me from downstairs. It’s mum. She wants to know why I came last in cross country. Mum stopped calling me when she heard me coming downstairs. Mum demanded to know why I came last. I told her that every year the older boys would hide my P.E kit so I had to run in my undies so that is why I'm always last. When I had finished mum was steaming. I was just leaving when I heard my dad's voice questioning why I only ate vegetables. I had to think of another story fast.

The Hand

“Social media,” my Grandma said, “is destroying the world.”

That's what she went on about every day. Why can’t people enjoy what is around them? Then out of nowhere she sat up and grabbed my phone  And put it in the bin.

“GO OUTSIDE NOW!”

I stumbled down the steps  and I got the photo that my pen pal gave me of the hand-n-tree. I feel like I was the  tree getting forced out. I then fell asleep and I dreamed that the hands were giants digging up the world and bringing in technology. Now she knew what she had do.

Cara My Willow 100wc Week 24

My Willow
There stood the powerful willow. Its delicate leaves, drooping with sadness, facing its  destiny, but still, dancing blissfully in the breeze. But even more appealing was that great hand sprouting from underneath, stiff white, while it struggled to knock over the still standing willow.

This tree had been my life, my soul. I had nestled up between tree and hand, it held me close, it tucked me away from the cold, but now in a week's time it would be chopped down, and I couldn’t do ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I was just a tiny cry, in a cruel, heartless world.

100WC week 24

As I stroll through the park, the morning breeze drives past me. The park filled with joyful people and their dogs. I can definitely tell that autumn is here, the trees spread golden leaves, as gold as the sun. I see something ahead of me, I try to take a good glimpse, but all is a blur to my vision, I pick up my pace and get a bit closer. I can see a hand coming out of the mucky ground, my mind started to confuse me! I get a spitting image, I see a tree coming out,

I’m puzzled?

Niamh mystery

Niamh walked into the room. She was where she had dreamed of being. All her life she had been home schooled and she hated it because her dad's old evil girlfriend had to home school her and her 5 other older brothers. Niamh walked out to the playground. As she skipped over she saw a big tree. It had white pointy things poking out of it. She walked over. A shiver went down her spine. As she went closer she realised the white things were fingers. She didn't know what to do. She had a mystery to solve this week.

Sophie T 100 WC Week 24

The giant hand thundered through the city terrorising every one, well not everyone. I just stood there, put my fingers to my lips, made an ear piercing whistle and waited. Then all of a sudden the giant hand came thundering around the corner with people scattering in its wake. I was the only one unfazed. People were shouting at me to get out of the way but I just stood there. I waited for it to stop. It stopped directly in front of me. I lead it back to it tree where it would hibernate for another 100 years.
